Every production aircraft started as an experiment.
AeroClip and AeroTank are the visible tip of a wider programme. Behind them sits a run of experimental airframes, each built to answer one question: a new arm geometry, a different payload deck, a control approach or a sensing stack that has to prove itself before it goes anywhere near a live conductor.
AeroX is the current test bed. It is purely experimental: a reconfigurable airframe for trying different rotor layouts and flight-control code, including fully actuated six-degree-of-freedom (6DOF) multirotor configurations that hold attitude independently of position. Nothing on it is for sale. What it proves goes into the next revision of the aircraft we do sell.
It is also why a one-off brief gets a serious answer. Most of what a client asks for, we have already tried some version of.
