Engineering & Integration

Present the problem. We will engineer the solution.

Bring a constraint and we build the answer: a drone payload or aircraft engineered to brief, or a DJI airframe made to do your job. Small senior team, in-house fabrication, open architecture.

01

Listen

You bring the problem. We ask questions until the real constraint is on the table — often it is not the one you came in with.

02

Engineer

Design, prototype, validate. Small senior team, open architecture, no black boxes you cannot maintain.

03

Deliver

Field-ready hardware, documented and supported, built for Australian conditions.

04

Iterate

Every deployment teaches us something. It feeds the next revision, and yours gets it.

WHAT WE BUILD

Payloads, airframes and the research behind them.

TO A WRITTEN BRIEF

Payload engineering

Sensing, manipulation and release mechanisms. Structural design, electronics, firmware and the mount that makes it fly straight, for our airframes, yours, or a DJI aircraft via its SDK. The airframe is locomotion. The payload is the robot.

FROM DRAWING TO FLYING

Airframes & prototyping

Airframes built around the payload rather than the other way round. In-house fabrication, printing and machining keep the loop short. Current example: CineLift, a stabilised cinema head for AeroTank, in development.

EXPERIMENTAL AIRCRAFT

R&D

The programme behind the fleet. Experimental airframes such as AeroX test a mechanism, a control approach or a payload mount at our own site before it goes anywhere near a production aircraft.

WORKED EXAMPLE DELIVERED

Custom-built aircraft and imaging payload

A research group needed a specific sensor in the air on a repeatable flight profile, with the data landing in a form their own pipeline could ingest. Nothing off the shelf carried it.

We delivered the aircraft, the imaging payload and the ground software as one system: airframe designed around the sensor, edge processing on board, ground control set up so their operators fly it without us present.

INTEGRATION

Make an off-the-shelf aircraft do your job.

A stock DJI airframe gets you to the asset. What happens when it arrives is a payload and software problem, and that is the part we build.

01

Custom AI detection models

Generic object detection finds cars and people. It does not find your particular corrosion pattern, your insulator type, or the failure mode your maintenance team actually cares about. We train the model on your imagery and run it where the decision needs to happen.

02

Enhanced automation

Mission logic beyond stock waypointing — the same approach that runs our own AeroClip installs, applied to inspection and survey work. The pilot stays in the loop, because that is what makes it approvable.

03

Dock and ground ecosystems

A dock is only useful if it is wired into the systems your people already use. Site survey, installation, RTK correction base, and the integration into your data stack — including our own Wireless RTK Tower where a permanent base is not viable.

04

Ag drone systems

Spray and spread platforms that talk to the rest of the operation instead of running as an island — RTK correction, prescription maps, and records that survive an audit.

IN-HOUSE MANUFACTURING

We make the parts, so we control the loop.

Printing, machining and assembly happen in the Scenic Rim workshop, a few metres from where the aircraft fly. A bracket that fails on Tuesday is redrawn, cut and back in the air on Wednesday — no supplier queue, no minimum order, no waiting on a quote to find out whether an idea works.

It is also why we can take a one-off brief seriously. Nothing we design has to survive a procurement conversation before it gets built.

Bring the constraint, not the spec sheet.

The most useful first conversation is about what has to be true, not which aircraft you had in mind.
